French Paper Mill reduces greasing intervals of electric motors and optimises energy consumption by switching to Mobil SHC Polyrex 102 EM
The customer previously used a grease to lubricate multiple electric motor units, which led to significant operational problems and greater consumption of grease. Switching to Mobil SHC Polyrex 102 EM, the greasing intervals of electrical motors increased by 25% and resulted in cost savings of €24,089 per year – as well as a reduction of CO2 emissions equivalent to 3 tonnes!

On a milk powder production site, 23 electric motors with a total power of 6,746 kW were used to drive various pieces of equipment. In 2023, Moove recommended switching the lubrication of electric motors to Mobil SHC Polyrex 102 EM grease, resulting in a reduction of electrical consumption and significant cost savings, as well as a reduction in their CO2 footprint.

Mobiltemp SHC™ 100 grease doubled the bearing lubrication interval and reduced the envelope vibration spectrum, which had peaked at 22.8 gE, to values below 1.5 gE. In addition to the increased bearing reliability, the Mobiltemp SHC™ 100 eliminated 96 human-machine interactions in the bearing lubrication task in just one season.
Mobil SHC 629 oil helps Cement Mill save over £40,000 per year
After changing to Mobil SHC 629 synthetic gear and bearing oil, a cement mill experienced an immediate increase in plant productivity due to reliable and consistent mixer operation at start-up and product discharge phase whilst saving 7.5 hours running time per week by eliminating the need to heat the previous mineral oil up to running temperature. An annual saving of £40,555 was reported by the company in relation to the Mobil SHC 629 change.
Thames Water UK demonstrates potential savings of almost £200,000 during the oil life of Mobil SHC 600 Series
In an independently monitored four-week trial, the spinner aerators operating on Mobil SHC 600 Series showed a reduced power consumption averaging 0.65% over the previous lubricant. This equated to a potential saving of £196,964 during the five year oil life, as well as significant reductions in CO2 emissions.
Landfill gas energy customer demonstrates potential annual savings of over £45,000 in productivity, and almost a 38,000L reduction in oil usage
After completing a seven-month trial using Mobil Pegasus 605 Ultra 40, there was a 176% extension in the oil drain interval. This equated to a potential annual saving of £45,086 across all landfill gas engines, a reduction of 37,872L waste oil, and 126 hours less in operator maintenance.
